BBC – BBC Radio 4 Programmes – In Our Time, Random and Pseudorandom. This programme appears likely to be about random numbers only; I was hoping that it would include stochasticity as well, the notion that individually apparently random events seem collectively to have a random probability distribution or pattern in time and space that can be analysed statistically but not predicted precisely. (Maybe I should include ‘extrapolation’ in my list of issue to be addressed…)
